About me

Hello...... I am Kate Noakes, a big-hearted CPCAB qualified Psychotherapist.

Thank you so much for visiting my website.

The reason you are here will be personal and individual to you.

You may be navigating the demands of caring for others, living with the impact of betrayal or rejection, grieving a loss, recovering from abuse or struggling beneath expectations that no longer fit.

Perhaps you've spent so long meeting the needs of those around you, that you've lost touch with your own voice, needs or sense of self.

Whatever has brought you here, please know that you don't have to face it alone.

Therapy offers something that information, advice and self-help resources cannot fully provide: a safe, supportive relationship where you can be heard without judgement, understood with compassion and given the space to explore your experience at your own pace.

As human beings, we are shaped in relationship and often heal in relationship too. Meaningful change rarely grows from self-criticism. Instead, it emerges through understanding, acceptance and the experience of being truly seen.

I am a qualified CPCAB psychotherapist and experienced professional business/life coach, and my work is grounded in Person-Centred Experiential Therapy. At the heart of this approach is a belief that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than analysing, directing or trying to "fix" you, I offer a therapeutic space where your own understanding, resilience, and capacity for growth can emerge.

Alongside my core therapeutic practice, I have particular experience supporting people who:

           • Are living with the realities of a neurodivergent mind

           • Carry long-term caring responsibilities for loved ones

           • Have experienced relationship abuse and are seeking to reconnect with their voice and sense of self

           • Struggle with self-worth, self-criticism or finding compassion for themselves

           • Support men's mental and emotional wellbeing — for themselves or someone they care about

My aim is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to explore what feels difficult and empowered enough to discover new perspectives, possibilities and ways of being.

The Discovery Room is my therapy and wellbeing practice and is a place for curiosity, understanding and growth. A place where you can gently explore who you are beneath the weight of expectation, trauma, loss or life's demands — and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been forgotten along the way.

If you're considering reaching out, perhaps this is the beginning of an important discovery: that you don't have to carry everything on your own.

Kate
